Mike is a 5.0 player, coach, and past director with Pickleball Canada and Pickleball Alberta.

Mike was first introduced to pickleball in 2010 by Greg Dobbie in Mesa, Arizona. They were down on spring break lazing around the pool when Greg and his wife said to Mike and Susan “Let’s go play some pickleball”. Mike just laughed and said “Pickleball?”. Greg told him it was a game that was played with a paddle, so with his extensive tennis background Mike said, “why not” and the four of them headed to the courts with wooden paddles in hand!
