Pickleball Alberta has awarded the Parkland Pickleheads to host the 2021 Pickleball Alberta Provincials at the beautiful Spruce Grove courts!
Garand Jones, President of the Parkland Pickleheads said, “We are excited to be the host of the 2021 Pickleball Alberta Championships to be held August 5th – 8th at Henry Singer Park in Spruce Grove.” The dates selected for the Provincial Championships were chosen purposely to allow players and officials to gain championship tournament experience to prepare for the National Championships in Red Deer the following week. Garand went on to say, “The dates allow players and officials to travel to central Alberta and participate in two major events over two weekends.”
Haddow Thul, Vice President of Pickleball Alberta said “We understand we are in unprecedented times for having any sort of gatherings. We will be following all government guidance along with the COVID policies that are set out by Pickleball Canada for sanctioned tournaments.” He went on to say, “With the increased rate in people being vaccinated we are confident that the government guidance in August will allow us to come together and have an incredible event.”
